Job Title: Business Intelligence Engineer

SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of reporting and analytical solutions, and the tables and processes that support them. They must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment, and strong analytical and communication skills. The Business Intelligence Engineer is also responsible for obtaining the necessary requirements from diverse business groups to determine the appropriate design. This person should have sound knowledge of data modeling (both relational and multidimensional) and should have strong experience in the Microsoft BI stack, reporting, and data visualization tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand the current systems and data sets involved and identify gaps that prevent the availability of accurate and timely information
• Define, Build, and Maintain queries, reports and dashboards used for analytics
• Partner with DBA’s and other BI team members to deploy development work to various environments
• Coordinate with BI team members to introduce new data elements and metrics to existing data marts
• Work with SMEs to define what data sets are required to support the key executives and business groups
• Work with Business to understand the requirements in detail and come up with a solution approach
• Develop and demonstrate a strong understanding of business and BI needs for various functional groups
• Collaborate with DBA’s, Solution Architects, IT, Business partners and Functional owners for input and support
• Document and create necessary presentations for demonstration

QUALIFICATIONS
• Enterprise Level DW/BI Experience
• Understanding of DW architecture components such as ETL, ODS, OLAP, Tabular model
• Experience working with business partners to understand and obtain detailed requirements
• Ability to define prioritized set of requirements with business consensus
• Experience working in Dimensional modeling and BI applications development
• Experience in Microsoft BI stack tools and technologies or similar
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Ability to clearly define and articulate the data gaps, integration gaps and come up with a data model and approach to resolve them
• Ability to drive meetings representing Business SMEs, IT SMEs, Architects and Infrastructure experts to collectively arrive at a solution
• Familiarity working product based metrics, medical products and sales data coming from different geographic regions will be an advantage
• Clear communication skills and a Good team p
• Ability to deliver BI solutions through using MS tools such as MS Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint, Office365, Reporting Services
• Experience in advanced extensible reporting skills
• Minimum of 3 years experience with SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• Experience utilizing SQL with a preference towards Server 2014 or higher

EDUCATION and/or Work EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or similar field, or equivalent experience, required
• 6+ years of Enterprise Level DW/BI Experience
• Microsoft or similar BI certification is a plus
