Microsoft Manufacturing Test Engineering is expanding in China. We are looking for a key technical contributor on the fast paced, high energy team responsible for developing and maintaining test equipment software for Surface. The position will be part of the MACH team in Suzhou; and collaborate with the manufacturing test engineering team in the USA to develop, deploy, and solve problems with software for factory test equipment. The candidate must not only know how to write low-level code to interrogate specific hardware features, but also be able to work cross-functionally with SW and HW engineers. This position will work closely with key manufacturing partners on significant advances in design, engineering, manufacturing, and test of high volume products. This position will involve developing complete test software solution, delivering complex projects and solving technical problems under pressure and tight schedules.

Detailed requirements:

•A Bachelor of Science/Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Technology, or equivalent field of studies with at least 8 years working experience in related field.
•Self-motived and superior problem solving skills to solve ambiguous problems under pressure.
•Strong verbal and written technical communication skills in English and Mandarin. Must have good interpersonal skills.
•Strong technical leadership is a must. Able to define, design, debug and deploy a complete manufacturing test software solution into the factory for high volume production.
•Strong programming skills and hands on experience on C#/C++/C, .NET Framework, WPF, WCF, and PowerShell scripting languages.
•Strong software development and debug skills on kernel/ driver OS levels, middle libraries and application level foundations.
•Good knowledge and background on hardware modules such as Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, Audio/Video, Optical, Sensors, Multi-touch, and etc. Knowing how to program and test these hardware modules is desired.
•Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing will be an advantage.
•Knowledge and experience on statistics analysis principals and tools (JMP, Minitab and SQL database) will be an advantage.
