The Role:

The Diagnostics Software Engineer will be a member of the product validation team with responsibilities for the test and validation of various sub-systems of integrated digital products. This will require close cooperation with the design and factory teams. You will work at the integrated circuit and product systems level. In this role, you will:
• Research into new test/validation technologies/methodologies
• Work with design teams and factories to develop validation plans
• Develop automation frameworks and test tools
• Write scripts to automate tests
• Develop firmware/scripts/applications to test the hardware
• Provide functional verification of electrical subsystems
• Work with design team to debug issues
• Report validation status
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related filed or equivalent experience
• 6 to 10 years overall experience in validation test
• Proficient with scripting language e.g. Perl, Python, shell.
• Proficient in programming languages C/C++.
• Understanding of EE fundamentals.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Experience developing in Linux environment with good understanding of the Linux kernel.
• Ability to programmatically test different sub-systems of product.
• Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in related field.
• Experience in platforms like Android and iOS.
• Proficient in Java, C#, VB, .Net.
• Knowledge of database communications.
• Experience with test automation.
• Experience with video, cameras, audio, power supplies, I2C/SPI/UART busses, and electrical signal characterization
• Experience with battery powered, wireless, embedded HW/SW consumer devices
• Schematic capture and PCB design experience
This position will require some domestic and international travels.
