• Served children age three to five experiencing homelessness or similar adverse experiences • Provided behavior interventions as needed or did social/emotional skill development • Used trauma-informed model to assess and identify the social/emotional needs of children, work with families to create goals and case plans • Assist with the development and implementation of customized training of the leadership and management development programs

• Assisted teachers, conducted educational and recreational programming, taught English and Chinese language skills, provided children with much needed one-to-one attention, and provided experiential learning techniques to students who are typically taught solely through rote memorization • Lined up and researched with multiple interviews, visits, and tours with local NGOs, non-profits, hospitals, and schools • Worked in a local hospital to support mothers and children through well-child checkups, home visits, and educational workshops to stem the spread of malaria and malnutrition • Develop both web-based and classroom (virtual and in-person) training as well as job information, reference guides, and other performance improvement tools

In collaboration with a long-standing community organization of health promoters, I propose to test whether the inclusion of workforce development strategies in the health promotion experience of volunteers can increase sustainability of programs for TB. The study will take place in Villa María del Triunfo, one of the most impoverished communities in Lima, Peru, with a high incidence of TB and multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB).

Through deep engagement in partnership with the target communities to develop the best strategy for studying the communities’ effective neighboring behaviors.

1) Promoting and sustaining meaningful and supportive inters among neighbors of different races, incomes, and s by exploring existing cases of neighbors bridging across differences in a meaningful way in Cleveland, Ohio. 2) I used a participatory research methodology with resident liaisons to conduct a baseline survey, to design neighboring interventions, and to implement effective neighboring interventions on the blocks, which will be measured by a post-test survey.

Choice Neighborhoods Initiative is a federal program that leverages public and private funding to redevelop distressed public or HUD-assisted properties into mixed-income housing, to improve outcomes for households living in the target housing, and to create thriving neighborhoods.

1) I worked with partners on the needs assessment and people-focused portions of the Transformation Plan that may lead to an implementation grant to redevelop Woodhill Homes. 2) I supported previous applications for implementation grants for Cedar Estates in Cleveland, Ohio as a team member of National Initiative on Mixed-Income Communities (NIMC).
