Job Purpose
Drive and lead OEM furniture FG projects form sourcing and engineer perspective; cultivate relationship with OEM furniture suppliers
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Develop and qualify OEM furniture suppliers with the team according to standard operation procedures, and analyze supplier’s manufacturing process and follow-up with suppliers on improvement plans
2, Work with cross function, drive and manage OEM furniture FG projects to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget and in accordance to project requirements, include analyze the products by evaluating materials, manufacturing processes, performance and packaging
3, Perform various activities, including selection of materials, form, fit and function, DFMEA, design reliability testing and prepares appropriate engineering documentation to support ordering, manufacturing, and shipment of designed product
4, Conduct yearly cost reduction and lead-time improve with suppliers
5, Identify alternative sources which complies with performance and aesthetic requirements as specified on product prints and engineering specifications
6, Prepare, monitor and evaluate test performance against industry standards to the agent/supplier
7. Perform reliability and performance testing to ensure OEM product meets engineering performance specifications which includes acquisition of OEM product, test requisition preparation, test monitoring, and evaluation of product performance
8. Collaborate with OEM suppliers by utilizing engineering principles and tools to calculate and evaluate alternative manufacturing procedures to determine best design at optimal cost;
9. Provide response to sales and customers regarding technical requests & special inquiry on assigned products
10. Understand potential issues and implement corrective action plans by utilizing root cause analysis and other relevant problem solving techniques to troubleshoot and resolve.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
4 years’ engineer experience including a minimum of 1 year experience in sourcing
Project management experience is preferred
PC and keyboard skills, including working knowledge of office software and proficiency in utilization of CAD is required
Fluent English writing and reading skill
